Shared Mission Giving

Shared mission giving is a common practice across the denomination. Each presbytery is able to use the funds received through Shared Mission giving in the way it identifies to encourage and ensure the connectional ministry of the PCUSA to be strengthened.
In the Presbytery of Southeastern Illinois, the portion of the Shared Mission Giving offering dedicated by each congregation towards the work of the presbytery is folded into the operating budget to fund staff, and support the work of the organizational structure.
Portions of the Shared Mission Giving are also offered to the connectional ministry of the synod and General Assembly.
